This innovation assists businesses, schools, residents, buy-back centres and communities to separate recyclable waste that can be converted to market-ready products. Additionally, it identifies and empowers waste champions to launch and operate sustainable buy-back centres. The waste champions support local waste reclaimers to earn an income through waste collection and enables them to create jobs in low-income communities. The aim of the business is to contribute to the social upliftment of women and youth in underserved areas by diverting waste from landfills.
